Temporary dictionaries [tempa,rerè dikSHa,nerès] is an exploration of finding common ground in between different voices, artistic practices, bodies, minds and needs. It’s an on-going process from which new dictionaries can arise.
The summer residency at Galleri 54 highlights collaboration as an artistic method and is entitled Längs hela hjärtats kant, six artists have worked together for two weeks and the residency will end with the exhibition Temporary dictionaries where the artists share their collaboration.

Längs hela hjärtats kant is a poetic entrance to how and where collaborations can arise, be made and how it can feel. The residency is organized based on a desire for time and space for artists from different disciplines to experiment, talk and meet. Collaboration as an artistic method is, for us, a practical resistance that must be practiced. It is a practice where knowledge sharing, response and reflection replace the cult of genius and competition.
It is difficult to cooperate. That is for sure.

The organizers Charlie Vince Jakobsson and Moa Hjärtström are both members of Galleri 54. They have collaborated artistically and curatorially since 2021.
