Two concepts permanently present in our lives. Where is the limit in between them?

Born 1982 in Salamanca, Guanajuato, México. In 2014, Rocío moved to Sweden and now lives in Gothenburg. Her practice spans various disciplines such as illustration, mural art, oil painting and jewelry-making. She won the National Prize of Architectural Design ‘Ing. Alberto J. Pani’ in Mexico in 2006. In recent years, her work has expanded her repertoire of subjects and her range or media and she is now invading furniture and walls with monochrome and abstract textures. Rocio has participated in solo exhibitions including at Querétaro’s City Museum, Mexico in 2014, and exhibited “Louder” at Hammarkullens Konsthall, Sweden in 2018. She has had many group exhibitions in Gothenburg including showing work at Ortens Art Festival, Park 113, Konstepidemin as part of GIBCA 2015, Röhsska Design Museum, Gallery 54 and at Angereds Konsthall. From January 2019 she will be resident artist at Ateljé Kollegiet, Konstepidemin.
